Labor Market Information Services (LMIS), a division of the Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL), is conducting its annual statewide job vacancy survey to answer labor demand questions.
The survey will provide statewide information as well as statistics for each of the five Local Workforce Planning Areas of the state.
Currently, the demand for workers is not well-known throughout the state. While we have long-range projections of skill needs, short-range data concerning employers’ occupational needs are not available. This data can be a useful tool for workforce development and educational professionals, as well as Kansas businesses.

Your participation in this study is essential to develop accurate and useful job vacancy information.
Survey results will assist state and local workforce and economic development leaders and education administrators to prepare workers and students with the skill sets in demand. Most
importantly, the survey results will also assist you, the employer, in planning solutions to hiring needs.
