The Kansas Department of Labor offers the following options to file your Quarterly Wage Reports: Internet - Employers can securely file Quarterly Wage reports electronically on our Web site. Simply fill out a quick and easy online registration form. After you have completed the online registration form you can enter your wage data directly into a secure form on the Web site and the data can be sent to us in real time. Your tax contribution information is automatically calculated for you. You can make your tax payment online as well. File Upload - Employers and employer representatives can now securely upload wage data files to the Kansas Department of Labor. This can be done using either a Web service or a Web site. Once the data is uploaded and committed your tax contribution information is automatically calculated for you. You can make your tax payment online as well. After June 30, 2008, Kansas law requires employers with 250 or more employees, or third-party administrators with 250 or more client employees, to electronically file wage reports and contribution returns, and to make payments online. This may be done by either the Internet or File Upload method. Similar requirements go into effect in 2009 for employers and third-part administrators with 100 or more employees or client employees and in 2010 for third-party administrators with 50 or more client employees. Paper Forms - Each quarter a Quarterly Wage Report and Unemployment Tax Return form is mailed to each employer registered with the State of Kansas. These forms may be filled out and mailed back to the Kansas Department of Labor if you are not required to file electronically. Although we still accept paper forms, employers are encouraged to file electronically. |
