We bid adieu
Working for the state of Kansas for over 20 years shows the dedication a person has for serving Kansans. This year, we’ve had to bid adieu to two committed workers compensation staffers. Administrative Law Judge Robert Foerschler and Sharon Harry retired this year after 20 and 21 years of service, respectively.
Judge Foerschler spent 20 years with the division of Workers Compensation. Previously, he was a partner at McAnany, Van Cleave & Phillips, PA. Before practicing law he was a Sergeant in the United States Army and Chief Deputy of Elections for Wyandotte County. He received his law degree from the University of Missouri, Kansas City (UMKC) School of Law in 1956.
Judge Foerschler truly enjoyed his job and claimed, “I’ve never worked a day in my life! I’ll miss hearing cases and listening to people’s personal experiences.”
Harry retired in June from the research unit of the division after 21 years of service. Odds are you’ve probably talked to Sharon at some point over the years when requesting records for prior workers compensations injuries, dockets and settlements.
As lead worker in the Research Unit Sharon opened incoming mail, researched prior claims history and a variety of other duties.
Good luck to both of you in your retirement! |
