Celebrating 33 YearsAccording to those who attended the Overland Park and Wichita, 33rd Annual Workers Compensation Seminars, 33 never looked so good! Presenters spoke about issues ranging from the statutory requirements involved in identifying an injured worker as an "employee," to how employers and others can avoid employment law mistakes. Whether discussing medical and indemnity expenses involving a knee replacement or what is reasonable and necessary medical care, claimant and respondent attorneys along with a host of physicians shared their thoughts, views and tips with a vocally appreciative audience. "Positive comments at the events and in writing are some of the best we've received in years," according to Shirley Hastings, the Division's meeting planner. "We're ecstatic that both new and longtime attendees appreciate the educational value and networking opportunities our seminars provide." "One thing's certain," Hastings said, "our customer's suggestions and requests guide us in planning the upcoming events." We are constantly working to improve the seminars.
