We'd like to offer you some incentives and suggest some considerations to remove possible barriers to participation.

  • You can discontinue our paper (K-WC 1101 A Employer's Report of Accident) and Open & Closed Claims reporting mechanisms (upon receipt of the Director's letter). There will be no need for you to collect data beyond that already collected to meet our paper and OCC reporting requirements, except for those technical elements needed for processing.
  • We may grant up to a six month reprieve/relaxation of EDI data quality standards through June 2004.
  • We can provide you assistance with identifying a network and/or vendor solution.
  • You can get advice from both the division and KDOL IT on the constructing of test data files for FROI/SROI business content test.
  • We can give you specialized/personalized installation and implementation support, including training on EDI and technical assistance.
  • We will give you personalized training on Kansas EDI requirements (i.e., claim event, element requirements).
  • We can give you technical assistance on mapping, FTP setups, and other aspects of transmission.
  • For those users who qualify, we have an online manual entry option that is free, for which we can provide interactive training over the Internet as a Webex presentation, and through which you can access a database of your own records that does not reside on your server.
  • There are all the generic benefits of EDI participation.
  • We will be happy to discuss with you anything that we can do to facilitate your participation in our EDI program.
