The Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL), Workers Compensation Division has spent the last two years
preparing to undergo a comprehensive digitization project. This project is being completed in two phases:
planning (DigiComp) and implementation. DigiComp, the planning phase, was completed in October of 2016
with the selection and hiring of a vendor, CapTech Ventures, Inc., to build the new workers compensation

OSCAR Update – October 2017
In the beginning of October Track 6 requirements are almost completed while Track 5 development started the beginning phase. Towards the end of the month Track 6 requirements were reviewed and approved. The beginning phase of Track 7 requirements have started.
WorkComp Strategies and CapTech spent several weeks onsite during the month. While they were onsite WorkComp Strategies and CapTech met with ALJ’s and Legal Assistants from the Lenexa office. Additionally, KDWC arranged to have two Attorney and two Paralegals from the local law offices volunteer their time to assist the OSCAR Project Team in obtaining details for Track 6 requirements.
UAT testing on Track 5 was executed during the last week of October at the Topeka office. Later that week KDWC staff, CapTech and WorkComp Strategies met with both internal and external legal assistants for UAT testing as well.
Lorax continues to work on quality assurance and they now having the 2013 dockets scheduled for pick up. BTCO will be coming November 7th to pick up boxes.
