The Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL) is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant. This position prepares Unemployment Insurance (UI) appeals to be scheduled for hearing. Accuracy is essential in inputting information into the computer system to create a record. Excellent oral communication skills are necessary because this position interacts with UI judges and the public.

Qualified candidate: will have a minimum of one year of experience in general office, clerical and administrative support work. Relevant education may be substituted for experience.

The Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL) is seeking a Senior Administrative Assistant. This position is responsible for copying documents needed for Unemployment Insurance (UI) appeal hearings, and will insure all parties receive a copy of the appropriate documents. Prepares hearing tapes for the UI judges and insures the mail goes out timely on a daily basis. Responsible for inputting hearing schedules into the computer system and matching notices for hearings. This position is also the back up in answering 3 incoming lines. Organizational skills as well as accuracy and attention to detail are very important.

The Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL) is seeking a Program Consultant II. This position supervises the Business Unit which is responsible for maintaining the database for the assessment process which collects and deposits funds in excess of $12 million dollars. This position is also responsible for over site on the "Help Desk" activities and must have extensive experience with customer service. Individual must have skills in basic computer applications which include Microsoft Word and Excel. Supervisory experience required.

  • Process, calculate and collect assessment monies and direct deposits.
  • Prepare annual financial and tax reports.
  • Verify paid losses and collect delinquent accounts.
  • Process and approve division purchases/receiving.
  • Supervise event registrars and front desk staff.
  • Liaison to Kansas Insurance Department and internal administrative staff.
  • Act as primary contact (Help Desk) for employees experiencing telephone, printer and/or general computer problems.

Minimum Requirements: One year of experience in planning, implementing and monitoring activities relevant to the agency´s programs. Education may be substituted for experience as determined relevant by the agency.

The Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL) is seeking an IT Architecture Analyst (Integration Architect). This position will be lead worker on a team responsible for designing and developing the integration architecture for KDOL. Duties include developing integration points using Siebel EAI, Microsoft BizTalk, and SQL Server SSIS. Performs all aspects of BizTalk administrative and development tasks. Works closely with KDOL business community and applications development team to translate requirements into design documents. Also works closely with the CIO, Project Management Office, and Architecture Review Board giving input on IT best practices, agency policy and standards.

Qualified candidates:  should have a Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field and three years experience designing and implementing integration architectures. Prefer candidates with strong knowledge of Siebel EAI, SSIS, BizTalk, SOA, XML, WSDL, SOAP and ESB. Training may be available for candidates with experience and education in a similar IT environment in order to fulfill preferred requirements.

This position will be responsible for the architecture of the Enterprise Content Management (ECM) system for KDOL. This includes analyzing business requirements, designing the ECM architecture, as well as administrating and developing ECM solutions. Candidate should be well versed on all major FileNet components including P8, Capture, E-Forms, and Records Manager, and Java APIs.

Qualified candidates:  should have a Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field and three years experience designing and developing ECM solutions. Prefer candidates with Java experience and FileNet Certification. This position is a senior member of a team responsible for database administration and development for all operational and analytical databases for KDOL. This position will design and develop data loading techniques and jobs using both SSIS and Siebel EIM. Support the applications development staff and their use of relational and Siebel data integration. This position will perform all standard database administrative tasks. Position will also assist in administering Oracle OBIEE Suite and Rational products for KDOL.

Qualified candidates:  must have a Bachelors degree in computer science or a related field and 3+ years experience in DBA or DB programming. Prefer candidates with a strong knowledge of Windows, MS SQL Server, SQL, OBIEE, Siebel EIM and ETL.
