State Extended Benefits Update
Unemployed Kansans who have exhausted federal Emergency Unemployment Compensation (EUC) benefits, both Tier I and Tier II, have the potential to receive up to 13 weeks of additional unemployment insurance (UI) benefits through the state extended benefits (EB) program. Applications are mailed to claimants as they exhaust their EUC Tier II benefits and those applications are being processed in the order received. We are currently processing applications received on October 23 and processing is taking approximately four weeks. Learn more about EB in our Frequently Asked Questions.

Additional Unemployment Benefits passed by Congress
