KDOL joins in Safety Excellence Awards

The first awards in The Builders’ Association Safety Excellence Awards Program were presented in 2007. The program, open to member companies in Kansas and Missouri, is co-sponsored by The Builders’ Association, the Missouri Division of Labor Standards, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Kansas City Area Office and KDOL.

The awards recognize Builders’ Association member companies with elite safety and health programs. First, second and third place in three divisions – General Contractors, Subcontractors and Material Dealers/Suppliers. A Grand Award is presented to one of the first place winners. A Safety Directors of the Year Award also is presented.

KDOL participated in the development of the awards program and Industrial Safety and Health staff served as awards competition judges.
