Laurie Kitt Honored as Employee of the Quarter
The Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL) is proud to announce the winner of the Employee Recognition and Award Program, Employee of the Quarter for the 3rd quarter. Kitt, Human Resource Specialist, was nominated as Employee of the Month in August for Meritorious Service and awarded the Employee of the Quarter in November.  Read more here

Labor Market Report October 2017
Preliminary estimates reported by the Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL) and Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) show a seasonally adjusted unemployment rate of 3.6 percent in October. This was down from 3.8 percent in September and down from 4.3 percent in October 2016.

Healthcare Occupations Remain the Highest Paying Jobs in Kansas
The Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL) 2017 Kansas Wage Survey is now available online. This publication provides employment and wage estimates by occupation. In addition to statewide and metropolitan area numbers, the new publication provides estimates for 12 sub-state areas (Local Areas and Projection Regions), which are based on Kansas’ labor market areas. Data for all 105 counties are available. Read more here.
