The Kansas Department of Labor (KDOL), Workers Compensation Division has spent the last two years
preparing to undergo a comprehensive digitization project. This project is being completed in two phases:
planning (DigiComp) and implementation. DigiComp, the planning phase, was completed in October of 2016
with the selection and hiring of a vendor, CapTech Ventures, Inc., to build the new workers compensation
system. Continue to monitor this webpage for updates.
OSCAR Update – February 2017
The official OSCAR kick off was on January 30, 2017. We have successfully completed the first few week of unit reviews of requirements.
Thank you to all employees, managers, consultants and vendor who participated. Everyone provided helpful information to our vendor.
The new audio/visual equipment related to the project has been installed in 2nd floor conference room at the 401 office.
CapTech Ventures, Inc. and WorkComp Strategies, LLC will return to Topeka to continue unit reviews of requirements.
These meetings will be held at the 401 office’s, 2nd floor conference room.
The vendor and consultants will also set up their work space in the conference room.
There may be some days 2nd floor conference room will be off limits to employees’ breaks and lunches.
The OSCAR Communications Team will continue to provide monthly updates of the status of the project and
details regarding the new system. We welcome any questions or input, which can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
