Our mission is to combat fraud and abuse by employers, employees, healthcare providers or others not licensed or regulated by the Commissioner of Insurance as stated in Kansas law. All Fraud and abuse violations are listed under: 

NOTE: This unit does not investigate misconduct by insurance carriers or agents. Instead, the Kansas Department of Insurance addresses these complaints.

Reporting Fraud

If you have knowledge of or believe that a violation of the Workers Compensation Act has occurred or is occurring, options for reporting include: 

  1. Go to www.oscar.dol.ks.gov and click Submit a Formal Complaint.
  2. Email the Report of Fraud or Abuse (K-WC 44) form to kdol.wcfraud@ks.gov
  3. Mail the Report of Fraud or Abuse (K-WC 44) form to:

NOTE: Anyone who reports suspected fraud or abuse to a government agency in good faith is immune from liability, unless they are the violator seeking to evade prosecution.

The Fraud and Abuse Section receives reports of fraud from many sources including:
